The Result of Testosterone in Women

We all know that it's a male hormone, but we can find some testosterone in women too, obviously with much lower levels.

In males we saw that it's produced by the produces it in women...?

In women it is produced by the ovaries and the adrenal glands.

High Testosterone in Women

High testosterone in women: thanks but I'll pass!

Testosterone in women is the highest around age 20 and then decreases with age.

  • In males it is responsible of sex drive and physical traits
  • Also in females it regulates sex drive, but for them the desire depends on many other factors than just testosterone

Studies demonstrated that testosterone levels in females is about seven times lower than what is found in males.

Anyways, when the estrogen levels are too high the production of testosterone decreases and females, like males, can suffer some of the symptoms of low testosterone, especially:

  • Low sex drive or libido
  • Lack of energy
  • Bad mood

Most women that had replacement therapy reported that after the injections (or after applying patches) their sex drive improved as well as a general sense of well being.

Anabolic Use

Testosterone in women can be increased with injections every 2 or 3 weeks, with patches that can be applied on the skin or with a gel.

There are several cases where females want to increase their T levels for bodybuilding purposes.

More testosterone will guarantee big muscle gains. I've seen some women at the gym that could break me into pieces!

What Would Increased Testosterone in Women Do?

Testosterone In Women

This is what testosterone in women does...

This an extreme case of female bodybuilder but you can clearly see the changes that testosterone injections generate:

  • Muscular growth
  • Facial male traits

That's right, high testosterone combined with human growth hormone in women is going to literally change the shape of their face.

You can notice how also the bone growth can make a woman look like a man.

Other side effects can be:

  • Hair loss (alopecia)
  • Growth of body hair

I want to beg all the girls out there that are thinking to become bodybuilders and take the picture above as an example..

...please....PLEASE DON'T!!!

Don't do that crap to your body! Go to the gym, stay in shape, tone your muscles...that's all awesome, but don't go further, just be a girl because we love you like that!!
