Have you ever heard of detox diet?
Unfortunately, very often we look in the mirror and we see changes that we didn't want to see...ugly fat localized in certain areas. In women most times it is concentrated especially in the thighs and hips.
To be able to get back to a healthy weight it is necessary to adopt a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, detoxify our body and practice a little sport.
For this reason, the diet that I am going to discuss today is called detox, and it can be a great help to eliminate the extra pounds and feel lightweight and fit again.
Why to Follow a Detox Diet?
The hectic lifestyle that most people leave, very often leads to eating foods that are not healthy, but in return they are fast to prepare and maybe they are also quite tasty.
This kind of foods, if eaten in large quantities, often weighs down our body and causes problems with digestion. This dietary plan has the main purpose of cleaning our body and getting rid of toxins, making us feel in better shape and more energetic.
This diet helps to:
- increase energy levels
- improve digestion, concentration and mood
- eliminate the annoying bloating and
- prevent chronic diseases and aging
Following a detox diet means obviously to lose those pounds that made us feel heavy.
Characteristics of the Diet
This diet has a very short duration , which can vary from 5 to 7 days, so it is suitable especially for those people who can not follow diets and for a long time.
The main purpose of a detox cleanse diet is to eliminate toxins from the body. This is carried out in a natural way by the liver, an organ that is able to recognize and eliminate harmful chemicals from our body.
The diet recommended in this kind of low-calorie plan is based almost exclusively on the consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Example of Detox Cleanse Diet
The following is a sample detox diet, lasting three days, during which we will never have meat.
Meat and the nutrients it contains are very important for our body, in fact those who choose to follow a vegetarian diet, take meat proteins perhaps with the help of dietary supplements.
The detox diet, in fact, invites those who follow it to give up eating meat for the duration of the diet which, in the example below, is really short.

Lunch: 150 g boiled potatoes instead of baked, 200 g of grilled peppers and 70 g of cheese.
